Carlo Petrini Visit to Sanchez School

Carlo Petrini, founder and president of the International Slow Food Movement, came to officially designate Sanchez School as the first school of the San Francisco Slow Food chapter. Lorenzo Scarpone, a founding leader of SFSF, shared this comment about the purpose of Petrini’s visit to Sanchez School.

“We are hoping that the idea will be spreading to four or five schools over the next five years and we see great potential through the example at Sanchez School’s pioneering food production garden project.”
